Our History

For years, the number of people involved in the claims and repair process has continued to grow. And as each new stakeholder emerged, so did additional systems to update with work requirements, authorisations and status updates.

The unintended result of all this was an industry which was rapidly becoming controlled, and in many respects limited, by the systems used. With a duplication of workload, elongated repair times, increased costs and poor customer service, the situation quickly became untenable for everyone involved.

CAPS® has the ability to connect every repairer in the UK that operates a compatible system, of which there are currently over 1,350 active bodyshops carrying out work for Insurers and work providers. With new partners connecting all the time. To support this growth, a National Advisory Council exists to ensure transparency, innovation and the continued development of a system for the benefit of all connected partners.

We believe a single source of connectivity is good for everyone. Reducing the time, cost and maintenance associated with integrations, removing barriers and providing choice, are key to fuelling much needed innovation.
